For more than 18 years, Dr. Nabil Ebraheim has served as chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, a teaching hospital in Ohio. In conjunction with his professional career, Dr. Nabil Ebraheim is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Another AAOS member Tom Price, MD, was recently nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. AAOS President Gerald R. Williams, Jr., lauded the selection of Price in a recent statement.
In his remarks, Dr. Williams congratulated Dr. Price on his nomination, praising his “decades of leadership on health care policy issues” as well as his expert insight on patient care. Dr. Williams also praised Dr. Price on his role in the Republican Doctors Caucus, where Price served as a key voice on several policy issues. Dr. Williams says he looks forward to a continued relationship with Dr. Price in working toward key policy concerns.
